The Western Australia Police Pipe Band, established in 1966, holds a pivotal role in fostering community engagement and promoting a positive perception of policing through their music.

Annually, the band is actively involved in over 200 police and community events throughout Western Australia, making a direct impact on thousands of community members and global audiences through their compelling live performances and broadcasted appearances.

Beyond their public engagements, band members operate the Western Australia Police Youth Development Pipe Band, which spearheads a successful schools and youth development program.

This initiative showcases the cultural significance of piping and drumming while also cultivating positive relationships between young people and law enforcement.
