Assemble Timber Park – Rose Street – 9.00 am onwards

· Mike and Alan Duns will assemble and direct all cars to their place of line up.

· You must follow all of the road rules.


Departs from the Timber Park at approximately 9.30am and heads south down ROSE Street.

Travels all the way to PRITCHARD Street; turning right; and travelling to the stop sign at SOMERVILLE street.

Turns right into SOMERVILLE Street, to roundabout at ISPEN Street. Where it turns left.

ISPEN Street past Moonya Lodge (they have been advised you will be going past – please make lots of noise).

Right into LINTOTT Street, round past the Manjimup Senior High School, RUTHERFORD Street, and left into ARNOTT Street, to GRAPHITE road. Turn right.

Across SOUTH WEST HIGHWAY to KARRI Street, right into KARRI Street travel to STOKE Street, turn left and then left into DOUST Street.

Right into HOSPITAL Avenue, and then left at the SOUTH WEST HIGHWAY – (make lots of noise going down the SOUTH WEST HIGHWAY – you need to let the people in town know that you are on your way).

Travel south along SOUTH WEST HIGHWAY to SPRINGALL Street, right across railway line and turn right into CHOPPING Street.

Travel along CHOPPING Street – (make heaps of noise) – to stop sign at GULL SERVICE STATION. Turn left into PRITCHARD Street and then right into ROSE Street.

Head north on ROSE Street to roundabout at IPSEN Street turn left to BATH Street.

Turn right into BATH Street; travel north to MOUNT Street – right into MOUNT Street; to roundabout.

Head south down ROSE Street to IPSEN Street roundabout; left to GIBLETT roundbout returning up IPSEN and right into ROSE street.

Left into BROCKMAN Street and park at rear of SHIRE HALL and in BROCKMAN street for display. Display will end at 4.00pm.

GlobeVista Pip Spitting Competition - Final 11/9/2008

Mark Vittler from Mt Barker was the winner of the 2007 Globe Vista Cherry Pip Spitting Competition when he spat a cherry pip 12.1 metres. He will travel to Cromwell in New Zealand this month to compete in the Australasian event.

Our thanks to Globe Vista who totally sponsor this part of the Cherry Festival including Mark's trip to New Zealand.

The first heat of the 2008 event will be held in Mt Barker on Saturday 15 November. So come along and try your luck.
The second heat will be held in Donnybrook on Saturday 6 December. Norm Bedford was the 2008 winner spitting 8.84 metres.

A heat will be held in Manjimup on Friday 12 December at the Visitors Centre. The winners of each heat will be in Manjimup to try and win the GLOBEVISTA CHERRY PIP SPITTING COMPETITION ON SATURDAY 13 DECEMBER 2008.

Our own Paul Omodei Jnr won the 2007 Austrlasian Cherry Pip Spitting Competition when he travelled to Cromwell NZ and beat the New zealand winner Michael Robertson with an impressive spit of 11.42 metres.
